Public and state institutions of higher education","summary":"The FY 2026 Future Leaders Exchange Global (FLEX Global) program invites proposals for cooperative agreements to implement a high school exchange program that includes an Administrative Component (overseeing overseas operations, participant recruitment, travel, host family placement, database management, alumni activities, and program coordination) and a Placement Component (managing host family and school placement of inbound foreign participants, regional ‘American Excellence’ enhancement activities, and ongoing support). The program aims to expand participation beyond traditional regions, foster young leaders who understand and support U.S. culture and priorities, and focuses on entrepreneurship, innovation, civic engagement, and leadership. Up to 1,200 foreign and 150 American high school participants will study abroad for an academic year, living with host families and engaging in leadership activities.
